Since 2005 The Pot Kiln has been one of Britain’s best country pubs - a rural idyll only an hour from London
owned by Mike and Katie Robinson - Mike is one of the country’s top game cooks and The Pot Kiln reflects this
in the menu. Here you will find the best of seasonal local Berkshire game - our venison is particularly renowned
and Mike stalks it all himself from neighbouring estates. Non game eaters, however, are well catered for with a
selection of locally farm reared produce and Cornwall’s finest fish.
Situated in the village of Frilsham, between Newbury and Reading, and just a stone’s throw from Junctions 12
and 13 of the M4, the pub has a delightful restaurant seating 45 , a really cosy bar with open fires and a huge
safe garden with some of the finest views to be found anywhere.
We do fantastic bar food, and a selection of perfectly kept real ales from the
multi award winning West Berkshire Brewery in the village.
The pub is in the media a fair bit - Mike has just finished presenting a series of
Countrywise Kitchen on ITV.
Dogs are welcome in the bar and the garden - look out for our resident pub dog
and Mike’s hunting companion Sassy!
We look forward to seeing you soon.
