Heaven's Kitchen

The First Year

2005 -- First shown on UK TV Food in October, the series consisted of ten 1 hour programmes which documented the purchase and opening of The Pot Kiln and followed Mike and Katie through the dramas and problems associated with converting an old pub to an acclaimed restaurant specialising in Mike's own brand of honest country cooking using local produce with an emphasis on game and wild foods,

The series was followed by Heavens Kitchen Cookbook, in which many local people, including the Vicar, MP, Hairdresser, Lord of the Manor etc. were invited to be judges in a weekly contest to decide which dishes should feature on the menu.

Heavens Garden, featured Hannah Genders who designed and constructed an organic garden for The Pot Kiln.

2006 -- A new ten part series has now been shown - Heavens Kitchen at Large. 

December 2006 - The BBC Food website "Get cooking" demonstrates the wonders of the Internet and shows the UK's top chefs in video demonstrations of their favourite recipes. See how some of your favourites from The Pot Kiln can be prepared at home. Click on the camera to follow the link
