The series usually appears on ITV1 at 8:00pm on Mondays. A special edition, “Countrywise at War”, featuring the Potkiln and local personalities was broadcast on 8th August. The first of Mike’s new series of DVDs illustrating all aspects of stalking wild game, through to preparing and cooking has been launched - “Summer stalking in Scotland - Red deer stags”. Naturally the series is called “Hunt, Prepare and Cook”. The next one on stalking Hinds in Winter is about to be released. Mike's new book "Fit for table" was launched in September. This groundbreaking book is not a cookbook at all,  but instead a pictorial and step by step user guide to processing and preparing game and wild food. Covering everything from deer to squirrels, this book will show you how to take a game animal or fish all the way from field to table. Published by Quiller Publishing and available in Bookstores and on Amazon. Eatout Magazine puts the PK in 2009’s top 100  pubs - just one small point in their entry - we actually have seating for 45 not 5!! 29 Sept 2009 A record breaking black truffle (tuber aestivum)  has been found near Hungerford.
